As you may know, at ArcelorMittal Construction France, we are committed to use cleaner energy across all our value chain, including transportation to construction sites.
Now, partnering with CEVA Logistics, we are taking steps forward! As part of our C5 Green Commitment programme, we have done successful tests at one of our sites in France to deliver PIR sandwich panels by electric trucks.
With these trucks, we can reduce our CO2 emission of transportation of the product by 83%. Until now, we covered 400 km to deliver panels to several construction sites, saving about 430 kg of CO2.
This quantity corresponds to one person's average annual CO2 emission due to flight transportation.
