Extended Producer Responsibility
02.12.2022 - Sustainability

Since 2022, ArcelorMittal Construction France is fully invested in a C5 sustainability program, motivated by the EU Green Pact as well as the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN, including 5 pillars which are:

  • the use of clean energy,
  • the development of a circular economy,
  • the reduction of CO2 emissions (by 35% by 2030),
  • the preservation of eco-systems,
  • encouraging the creation of caring communities.

This commitment comes on top of our investment in decarbonization through XCarb®, our constant efforts to reduce waste as much as possible (removal of the protective film on the inner facings of our 12μ sandwich panels, foam recycling,...) and the continuous development of ever more sustainable solutions, such as ZMevolution®, iQ+ System®, D2B®,...

The building sector represents approximately 42 Mt/year of waste, equivalent to the total amount of waste produced annually by households in France. The law of February 10, 2020 on the fight against waste and the circular economy (AGEC) has provided for the establishment of an EPR channel to ensure the management of waste from this sector.

Given the urgency of launching concrete actions at the national level to preserve resources and reduce our carbon footprint, the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system is scheduled to come into force on January 1, 2023.

We would like to inform you that our company has opted to join the eco-organization Valobat, which will be in charge of collecting the eco-contribution necessary to finance the collection, sorting and recycling chain.

This eco-contribution will be the object of a specific line on your offers, AR and invoices as of January 1, 2023. Our teams are taking up the challenge to be ready on time.
